Job Description
Rocky Mount Smilemakers, a family and cosmetic dental practice in Rocky Mount, NC, seeks a General Dentist to provide comprehensive preventive, restorative, and cosmetic care. Responsibilities include exams, diagnosis, treatment planning, fillings, crowns, implants, and whitening, while educating patients and promoting oral health. You'll work with modern technology in a supportive, team-oriented environment that values compassionate, personalized care, strong patient relationships, and ongoing education. This role offers growth in clinical and customer service skills within a friendly, community-focused practice. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients of all ages Provide preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dental treatments, including fillings, crowns, implants, and whitening Interpret radiographs and other diagnostics to guide clinical decisions Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, and post-treatment care Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record system Adhere to strict infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols Collaborate with hygienists, assistants, and front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow Communicate with patients in a compassionate, patient-centered manner to build long-term relationships Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on techniques and technologies Support practice goals, community outreach, and a positive, team-based culture Required Skills Comprehensive oral examinations Restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns) Cosmetic dentistry (whitening, veneers) Implant restoration Treatment planning and case presentation Digital radiography and imaging Local anesthesia and pain management Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Infection control and sterilization Patient education and communication
