The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring their oral health and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient education and care. Duties Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients. Diagnose and treat various dental conditions including cavities, gum disease, and oral infections. Perform a range of dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery. Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs while considering their medical history. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments using Dentrix or similar software. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient office operations. Uphold infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Stay updated with advancements in dentistry through continuous education and training. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and practices related to general dentistry as well as specialized areas such as prosthodontics and pediatrics. Strong knowledge of infection control procedures to ensure patient safety. Experience with electronic medical records systems, particularly Epic or similar platforms. Ability to perform complex procedures including root canal therapy and oral surgery with precision. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy dental office environment.
