  • Part-time, Contract Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our dynamic dental team.
This vital role involves performing complex surgical procedures related to the mouth, jaw, and face, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert care and precise techniques. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including dental extractions, implant placements, cyst removals, and trauma repairs Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging interpretation Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards during all surgical procedures Collaborate with dental hygienists, general dentists, specialists, and support staff to develop personalized treatment plans Manage medical documentation accurately, including detailed surgical notes and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide preoperative instructions and postoperative care guidance to ensure optimal healing and patient satisfaction Stay current with advancements in oral surgery techniques, dental terminology, and medical imaging technology to enhance clinical outcomes Requirements Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution Valid license to practice dentistry with specialization certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or equivalent credentials Proven experience performing oral surgeries such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures, and endodontics treatments Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly preferred Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control protocols, medical terminology, and HIPAA compliance standards Ability to perform procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort Excellent communication skills for patient care discussions and interdisciplinary collaboration Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus for treating pediatric patients effectively Join us as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon where your expertise will directly impact patient health while working in a vibrant environment that fosters professional development.
