Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dental team on Tuesdays and other days. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, ensuring optimal oral health and patient satisfaction. Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate diagnoses. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate treatment plans clearly with patients and team members. Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation and dental records in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with specialists such as endodontists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, and oral surgeons when advanced procedures are required. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term wellness. Skills Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and documentation. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging techniques, and healthcare diagnosis principles relevant to dentistry. Expertise in general dentistry procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and implant placement. Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and procedures tailored for children's oral health needs. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques aligned with OSHA guidelines. Knowledge of orthodontic treatments and prosthodontic solutions to address various restorative needs.
