Responsibilities Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants. Conduct thorough patient assessments using medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to develop accurate treatment plans. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws. Apply infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry to optimize patient care efficiency. Stay current with advancements in general dentistry practices, dental technology, and healthcare diagnosis standards to provide the best possible care. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dentist with active DEA registration if applicable. Proven experience in general dentistry within a dental clinic or office setting. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging, dental fabrication techniques, and infection control procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), oral surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and implant procedures is highly desirable. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex dental concepts clearly and compassionately. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare requirements related to medical documentation and patient privacy. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canals, oral surgeries, and other advanced procedures safely and effectively. $100.00 - $300.00 per hour
