General Dentist Myrtle Family Dentistry Ridgewood, NY Job Details Part-time $750 - $900 a day 1 day ago Qualifications HIPAA Clinic experience Dental terminology Dentrix Eaglesoft Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dentist to join our reputable dental practice (2-3 days - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 1 Saturday a month). (65-70% Medicaid, 30-35%
PPO / FFS
; Base + % of production). The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, infection control, and utilizing advanced dental technologies. The Dentist will work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality services in a professional and compassionate environment. Responsibilities Perform general dentistry procedures such as examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and bridges Conduct oral surgeries including dental extractions and root canal therapy Utilize dental imaging and other diagnostic tools to assess patient conditions Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments and medical/dental history Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Maintain accurate medical documentation and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to optimize patient care Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Manage pediatric dentistry cases when applicable, ensuring comfort and safety for young patients Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures such as prosthodontics and dental fabrication Skills Proficiency in dental software such as Denticon, Eaglesoft, Dentrix preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology Experience in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery highly desirable Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently for improved patient comfort and workflow Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Skilled in medical imaging techniques and root canal therapy procedures Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a clinical setting Dental office experience or prior work in a dental clinic environment is preferred for optimal integration into our team
