Surgery Duties & Responsibilities:
Clinical Supervision and Mentorship. Be able to provide hands on guidance to dental students and residents during patient examinations, and treatment planning in the simulation lab and the clinic. Patient care. Provide a full range of general dentistry to include restorative, preventive, oral surgery, prosthodontics and endodontics. Curriculum delivery. Develop and deliver lectures, seminars and laboratory sessions on foundational and advanced topics in general dentistry. Evaluation & Assessment. Grade clinical competencies, practical assessments and examinations while providing constructive feedback to students and faculty.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications DDS or DMD Degree from a CODA accredited USA Dental School and an (AEGD) Advanced Education in General Dentistry or a (GPR) General Practice Residency A current unrestricted Virgina State Dental License. Minimum 15 yrs of clinical practice experience in general dentistry Strong communication and team leadership skills, a commitment to academic dentistry Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at
