The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating periodontal disease, performing surgical procedures, and providing comprehensive patient care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient education and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Duties Conduct thorough examinations of patients' gums and supporting structures to assess periodontal health. Develop personalized treatment plans for patients with periodontal disease, including non-surgical and surgical options. Perform advanced dental procedures such as scaling, root planing, gum grafting, and dental implants. Utilize medical imaging techniques to diagnose conditions accurately and plan treatments effectively. Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with practice policies. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of periodontal health. Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to provide comprehensive patient care. Stay current with advancements in periodontology through continuous education and training. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited residency program in periodontics. Valid state dental license to practice as a Periodontist. Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry and periodontology. Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is preferred. Strong skills in four-handed dentistry and infection control practices. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus, as well as experience in general dentistry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient care and education.
