Dialysis PCT Norwalk, CT Job Details Full-time 2 hours ago Qualifications Patient monitoring Dialysis Calibration Medical equipment operation Patient assessment Patient safety Disinfection procedures Medical equipment cleaning Progress documentation Safety protocol implementation Patient personal care assistance Entry level Patient observation Full Job Description Responisble for providing direct care during dialysis treatments. This includes preparing and mainting dialysis machines, monitoring patients' vital signs and overall condition during treatment, and assisting with patient care tasks. Setting up and preparing dialysis machines, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols are followed. Continuously monitoring vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, etc.), assessing patient response to treatment, and observing for any signs of complications or adverse reactions. Assisting with cannulation and decannulation of dialysis access points (fistulas, grafts, or catheters), and evaluating access site for patency and signs of infection. Providing support with personal care, mobility, and other needs during treatment. Safely disconnecting patients from the dialysis machine, monitoring for hemostasis, and applying dressings. Accurately documenting all aspects of the dialysis treatment process, including pre- and post-treatment assessments, vital signs, and any interventions or observations. Ensuring machines are properly calibrated, cleaned, and disinfected before and after each treatment. Identifying and reporting any malfunctions or issues with the dialysis machines or equipment.
