Full Job Description Job Description:
The Dialysis Technician is responsible for providing safe and effective hemodialysis treatments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse while maintaining quality patient care and infection prevention standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and operate dialysis machines before, during, and after treatment Perform machine setup, disinfection, and routine maintenance checks Monitor patients during dialysis treatment and report changes to nursing staff Obtain and document patient vital signs and treatment information Assist with patient preparation and post-treatment care Follow infection prevention and control protocols Ensure accurate documentation of treatments and machine logs Maintain dialysis supplies and treatment area cleanliness Support patient comfort, safety, and customer service standards Comply with facility policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Dialysis Technician certification preferred (CHT/CCHT) (or as required by state regulations) Current BLS certification preferred Previous dialysis experience preferred but willing to train qualified candidates (optional) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Bilingual Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
