Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. If you have a passion for animals and want to make a difference in their lives, we encourage you to apply.Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis
- Take and develop x-rays
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor them during recovery
- Provide post-operative care and follow-up instructions to pet owners
- Clean and maintain examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition
- Assist with grooming tasks, such as nail trimming
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with pet care practices, including animal husbandry and dog training techniques
- Proficiency in animal catheterization techniques preferred
Requirements:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with veterinarians and other staff members
