Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. If you have a passion for animals and want to make a difference in their lives, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
  • Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Perform laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis
  • Take and develop x-rays
  • Prepare animals for surgery and monitor them during recovery
  • Provide post-operative care and follow-up instructions to pet owners
  • Clean and maintain examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition
  • Assist with grooming tasks, such as nail trimming
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures and protocols
  • Familiarity with pet care practices, including animal husbandry and dog training techniques
  • Proficiency in animal catheterization techniques preferred
Requirements:
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with veterinarians and other staff members
