Non-Exempt Job Summary:
This position provides high quality patient care to patients suffering from the most advanced stage of chronic kidney disease, known as END Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). As a CCHT you will monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, initiating cannulation, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Our technicians have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for dialysis treatments on the patients assigned under the direction of the registered nurse. Initiate, monitor, & terminate treatments and procedures as assigned. Set up, tests, and operates hemodialysis machines for patient treatments. Obtain and document necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient. Evaluates vascular access pre-treatment and performs vascular access cannulation. Evaluates intradialytic problems and provides intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed. Evaluates patient prior to discontinue dialysis treatment according to established procedures. Reports any significant information and/or changes in patient condition directly to Nurse Manager. Collects, labels, appropriately prepares, and stores lab samples according to required laboratory specifications. Enter all treatment data into the designated clinical application in an accurate and timely manner. Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surface, chair, equipment, and surrounding area between treatments according to facility policy. Assist other healthcare members in providing patient education. Prepares, organizes, and efficiently uses supplies and equipment to prevent waste Periodically close the unit, including shutting down the water system Maintain patient confidentiality, including HIPAA and practice specific compliance guidelines
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must provide excellent patient care. Must provide pristine bedside manner and uphold the Ryze level of patient experience with utmost professionalism. Must possess exceptional attention to detail. Must maintain professional level of personal appearence and communication skills. Must be reliable, responsible, punctual. Must be able to prioritize patient needs at all times. Must be a team player, willing to go above and beyond for patients and colleagues. Must possess strong organizational skills. Must demonstrate positive and professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to cooperate with others. Must demonstrate knowledge of basic computer skills. This will include training for the electronic medical record (EMR), Microsoft, and electronic timekeeping. Must be able to flex hours to meet the demands of the clinical area or take call, if required by the department. Proficiency in Microsoft Office functions Enthusiasm, passion, and willingness to learn our technology Team player with strong work ethic Impeccable personal appearance Physical mobility to bend, lift, and stand for prolonged periods Ability to work overtime, weekends, days, evenings and/or holidays Ability to meet US employment and eligibility requirements
Experience and Education:
License or certifications for CCHT CCHT or CHT Certified

Physical Requirements:
