Dialysis Technician Job Summary Provides hemodialysis treatment to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Prepares and operates dialysis equipment, initiates and monitors treatment, and observes patients for complications throughout the session. Maintains a safe, clean treatment environment and accurate treatment records. Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent: Required Prior hemodialysis experience: Preferred Licenses & Certifications Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) or equivalent state certification: Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required Key Responsibilities Set up, prime and operate dialysis machines and prepare the treatment area for each patient. Obtain pre-treatment vital signs and weights and initiate dialysis treatment as directed. Monitor patients and machine parameters throughout treatment and report complications to the nurse. Discontinue treatment, obtain post-treatment measurements and provide access site care. Document treatment data accurately in the patient record. Maintain equipment, perform disinfection and follow infection control and safety protocols. #Workwolf
