Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor dialysis machines to deliver precise hemodialysis treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Assess patient condition before, during, and after dialysis sessions, including vital signs, fluid balance, and overall well-being. Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control practices to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Manage dialysate solutions and dialysate management systems to ensure optimal treatment efficacy. Document all clinical activities accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including treatment details, patient responses, and any adverse events. Collaborate with nephrologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Educate patients on dialysis procedures, self-care practices, and lifestyle modifications to promote health literacy and compliance. Qualifications Certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician from an accredited program is required. Proven experience with dialysis procedures, hemodialysis machines, and related equipment is essential. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, nephrology principles, and medical terminology relevant to dialysis care. Proficiency in using EMR systems for clinical documentation and data management. Demonstrated understanding of CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulatory compliance standards for dialysis facilities. Ability to perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures accurately and safely. Current CPR certification is mandatory; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or nephrology nursing are a plus.
