In this vital role, you will assist in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate hemodialysis treatments to individuals with kidney failure. Your expertise will ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to strict regulatory standards. Responsibilities Prepare and operate dialysis machines, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and maintenance for each treatment session Monitor patients throughout dialysis procedures, observing vital signs and responding promptly to any adverse reactions or complications Maintain accurate clinical documentation of treatments, patient responses, and any incidents using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Assist with patient care activities such as phlebotomy, blood pressure measurement, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols rigorously to prevent contamination and ensure a sterile environment Manage dialysate solutions and dialysate management systems to maintain proper chemical balance during treatments Comply with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations and other regulatory standards related to dialysis services Skills Proficiency with EMR systems for documentation and clinical record keeping Strong knowledge of dialysis procedures, hemodialysis equipment, and dialysate management Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse patient populations Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, nephrology principles, and medical terminology relevant to dialysis treatment Experience with phlebotomy techniques and vascular access management Knowledge of CMS regulatory compliance requirements for outpatient dialysis centers CPR certification and ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations involving dialysis patients Embark on a rewarding career path where your technical expertise and compassionate approach can truly transform lives.
