Learn food handling techniques and safely utilize kitchen equipment Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people Comply with the Residents' Rights and the Employee Personnel Policies Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined in job description Perform essential duties as outlined in job description Must be able to: Pass a criminal background check and a 13 panel drug screen; Work in a fast-paced and demanding work area with speed and efficiency; Follow procedures for sanitary and safe handling of food and equipment; Assist cook by obtaining stock from refrigerator and storerooms, opening cans/cartons and preparing/portioning food items as instructed; Set up serving line with cold foods, condiments, serving containers, dishes, silverware, etc. according to the menus and as instructed; Wash dishes, clean equipment, wipe off dining room and work tables, clean utensils, pots & pans, mop floors in dietary, etc. as assigned; Clean kitchen and work areas as assigned; And any other duties outlined in work assignment and as directed by the Food Service Supervisor. Please come in to the facility to fill out a paper application M - F, 9am - 3pm. Dietary is a physically demanding job requiring being on your feet the majority of the work day. You must be able to work in a busy work area with limited space in close proximity with the other dietary personnel. A willingness to learn and be part of a team is a must.
