In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting the kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting with meal production in a fast-paced environment. Your enthusiasm for culinary excellence and commitment to quality will help ensure our guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working alongside seasoned professionals dedicated to high-volume food production and fine dining standards. Duties Assist with food preparation including chopping, slicing, poaching, braising, grilling, and other cooking techniques to meet recipe specifications. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all tools and appliances are maintained according to food safety sanitizing procedures. Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in line with established recipes and dietary guidelines. Maintain strict food handling practices to uphold food safety standards and prevent contamination. Contribute to high-volume production by preparing meals efficiently while adhering to portion control and presentation standards. Follow food safety management protocols including proper sanitation, storage, and inventory control within the dietary department. Assist in catering events or special meal preparations as needed, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes. Support the dietary aide team by adhering to dietary restrictions and assisting with meal assembly for various dietary needs. Experience Previous dietary aide experience or food service experience preferred; experience in fine dining or high-volume kitchens is a plus. Strong knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, recipe adherence, and kitchen equipment operation. Demonstrated skills in food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and knife skills. Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling within a restaurant or catering environment. Familiarity with culinary terminology and techniques including food production for large-scale service settings. Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Prior experience operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors is highly desirable. Join our team where your culinary talents will be valued!
