This role is essential in supporting the dietary department to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, responsive to scheduling needs, and committed to quality service. Key Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation and tray setup according to dietary guidelines Deliver and serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner Support residents with feeding as needed Follow special diet instructions and portion control requirements Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and dining areas Maintain proper food storage and handling procedures Restock supplies and assist with inventory as needed Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff Be available to work on short notice, including weekends and holidays Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience is a plus Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong reliability and flexibility for on-call scheduling Good communication and teamwork skills Compassionate and service-focused attitude Schedule & Benefits On-call / per diem position (hours based on facility needs) Competitive pay at $18-$19/hour Flexible scheduling Opportunity to gain experience in a healthcare setting Equal Opportunity Employer Hayward Gardens Post Acute is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
