Position Summary:
Provide assistance and support in all food functions including preparation, processing, delivery to patients, etc.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.) Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc. Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas Collect and carry out garbage Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations Prep food supplies for the next meal Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
