Job Title:
Food Server.
Description:
The food server is responsible for setting up the resident dining area, serving meals to the residents, and bus tables, and helping in the kitchen with clean up including the operation of the commercial dishwasher as needed as assigned. This position also keeps the assigned kitchen area clean and adheres to all kitchen sanitation practices. Days and Hours on
Duty:
Part time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve resident meals in a timely manner. Clean/bus resident tables in the dining area Assist residents during mealtime as needed. Vacuum the dining room floor after each meal. Set tables for the next meals. Operate commercial dishwasher as needed. Wash pots and pans as needed. Clean sinks and cooking deck areas as assigned. Mop Floor Assist with food storage following delivery of kitchen and food supplies. Observe, practice, and understand all safety and sanitary policies. Perform other duties as directed by Cook. Accept a rotating work schedule during the weekdays and weekends.
Qualifications:
Valid/ Current California Food Handlers Certificate Must lift dish, glass, and bus boxes weighing up to 40 pounds. Must lift and stack cartons and containers weighing up to 80 pounds. Maintain a clean, neat appearance and practice good personal hygiene. Previous employer references Possess current and valid driver's license. Read, speak, and understand English and follow written and oral instructions. Be able to communicate with residents, their families, and other staff. 18 years of age or older (verified by birth certificate or driver's license) Possess criminal clearance prior to the presence in the facility. Participates in required appropriate job training. Prior to employment obtained the required health screening and TB clearance Is in good physical and mental health and capable of performing assigned tasks. Possess knowledge of housekeeping and sanitation principles.
