Job Description

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Kitchen Attendant to support dining services in our senior living community. In this resident-first, mission-driven environment, you will help create a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience for older adults. Responsibilities include dishwashing, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and dining areas, basic food prep support, stocking supplies, and maintaining proper food safety and infection control standards. You'll work closely with a collaborative, compassionate team while gaining hands-on experience in hospitality and healthcare-focused senior living operations. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and dining areas Operate dishwashers and hand-wash pots, pans, and utensils Receive, label, and store food and supplies following safety guidelines Restock service areas with dishes, flatware, and condiments Assist with basic food prep as directed by cooks Follow food safety and infection control standards Remove trash, handle recycling, and maintain storage areas Support meal setup, delivery, and breakdown for residents Report equipment or safety issues promptly to supervisor Collaborate with dining and clinical staff to support resident-centered service Required Skills Dishwashing and sanitation procedures Basic food preparation Commercial kitchen equipment operation Food safety and handling (Serv Safe standards) Infection control practices Chemical and cleaning supply handling Inventory rotation and stock management Trash and waste handling procedures Basic meal service support Written and verbal communication
