This downtown Stuart hospital provides top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Martin County on the beautiful St. Lucie River. The caregivers at Martin North Hospital have made it an excellent medical facility and a home away from home . Cleveland Clinic understands that keeping up with nutritional needs is essential to staying well. As a Dietary Aide, you will help us support patients' health by ensuring proper food handling and transportation. In this role, you can gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, all while making a difference in the lives of patients every day . A caregiver in this position works days from 6:30AM - 2:00PM or evenings from 12:30PM - 9:00PM . Availability to work Monday-Friday and rotating weekends and holida ys is re quired . A caregiver who excels in this role will: Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events. Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments. Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items. Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets. Follow department standards and procedures. Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High S chool D iploma or GED Six months of experience in food service Experience working on a team Hospitality experience
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to reach with hands and arms. Ability to talk and hear. Frequently required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus also required.
