Responsibilities Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Sanitate work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a clean and safe food service environment. Help serve meals to patients, ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are respected. Collaborate with the dietary department team to plan menus that meet nutritional standards and patient needs. Monitor food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and serving of food items. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding their meals. Participate in training sessions related to food safety, sanitation, and dietary practices. Requirements Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a food service role is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with dietary restrictions commonly found in hospital settings is a plus.
