Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and appealing meals while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, as you will be interacting with residents and staff to meet dietary needs and preferences. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards. Help maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Sanitate work surfaces and food preparation areas regularly to prevent contamination. Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident inquiries or concerns regarding meal options. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure meals are appealing and meet individual dietary requirements. Assist with inventory management by monitoring food supplies and reporting shortages as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Good communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and management. Willingness to help others, demonstrating compassion and understanding towards residents' needs. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift items up to 25 pounds, and perform cleaning tasks efficiently.
