Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering exceptional nutritional care to residents in long term care settings. In this energetic position, you will assist with meal service, food preparation, sanitation, and customer service, ensuring a safe and welcoming dining experience for all. Your contributions will directly impact residents' well-being by providing nutritious meals with compassion and professionalism. Responsibilities Assist with food production and meal preparation to support the dietary department's daily operations Serve meals to residents in a courteous and timely manner, ensuring proper portioning and presentation Maintain strict food safety standards through proper handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures Support kitchen staff with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring a clean environment for food service Help with food handling and storage according to health regulations to prevent contamination Follow established protocols for sanitation and kitchen safety to uphold sanitation standards Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents' dietary needs and preferences with kindness and respect Experience Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable Familiarity with food preparation, serving, and sanitation practices within a dietary or culinary setting Strong independent time management skills to efficiently handle meal service schedules and cleaning routines Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques Experience in customer service or working directly with residents or patients is a plus Prior dietary aide or food service experience enhances your ability to excel in this role Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay:
From $14.00 per hour
