Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated dietary team as a Culinary Aide and play a vital role in delivering nutritious, delicious meals to our residents. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your culinary skills and compassion make a meaningful difference. As a Culinary Aide, you will assist with meal preparation, food service, and sanitation tasks, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and workplace safety are maintained. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our residents. Duties Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences Serve meals with professionalism, ensuring proper portioning and presentation Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas regularly Support dietary department operations through bussing, food handling, and inventory management Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy items or supplies to prevent injuries Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times to ensure workplace safety Support residents during meal times, providing excellent customer service and assistance as needed Experience Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and JCAHO standards is advantageous Knowledge of nutrition principles and dietary requirements for geriatric or special needs populations is a plus Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy meal periods Ability to work safely with manual handling techniques and heavy lifting equipment Experience working with geriatric patients or in healthcare settings enhances your ability to meet resident needs effectively Join us in creating a positive dining experience for our residents while developing your culinary skills in a supportive environment committed to excellence!
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
