Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Dietary Aide/Cook, where you will play a vital role in providing nutritious, delicious meals and exceptional service to our residents. You will be responsible for food preparation, sanitation, and assisting with meal service in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork, safety, and quality. Duties Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation Assist with food production, including chopping, cooking, plating, and portioning meals efficiently and accurately Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including countertops, utensils, equipment, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and managing food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment Follow proper food handling protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Assist with inventory management by receiving deliveries, storing supplies properly, and tracking stock levels Provide friendly customer service to residents during meal times, addressing special dietary needs or preferences with professionalism and care Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary experience that supports nutritious meal planning and presentation Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities such as serving meals, cleaning kitchen areas, and maintaining sanitation standards Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment Understanding of food safety practices including proper handling, sanitation, and serving procedures Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude Experience with meal preparation for special diets or therapeutic nutrition is an advantage Join us in creating a caring atmosphere where quality nutrition meets compassionate service! Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
