Meal Coordinator Beehive Homes of Smyrna Memory Care About the Position Beehive Homes of Smyrna Memory Care is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and experienced Meal Coordinator to join our team. Our kitchen plays a vital role in the daily lives of our residents, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in preparing fresh, appealing, nutritious meals while creating a warm and welcoming dining experience. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, comfortable working independently, and genuinely enjoys serving seniors. Experience cooking in an assisted living, memory care, healthcare, restaurant, or institutional setting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Prepare daily meals for our residents according to established menus, dietary needs, and food-safety requirements. Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as assigned. Follow recipes and portion guidelines while ensuring meals are appealing, nutritious, and served on schedule. Accommodate resident dietary restrictions, allergies, food preferences, and special diets. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining area. Properly store, label, rotate, and monitor food inventory. Assist with ordering and maintaining appropriate food and kitchen supplies. Follow all applicable food-safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Monitor food quality and freshness and report concerns appropriately. Work cooperatively with the Home Manager, caregivers, and other team members. Help create a pleasant and welcoming mealtime environment for residents. What We're Looking For Reliable and dependable attendance. Previous cooking experience preferred. Ability to prepare meals for a group of residents. Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety. Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary instructions. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Positive attitude and professional demeanor. Patience, kindness, and genuine compassion for seniors and individuals living with memory loss. Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members. A Kentucky food safety certification is required for this position. If you do not currently have the required certification, Beehive Homes of Smyrna Memory Care will pay for you to complete the required food safety certification for the State of Kentucky. You must be willing to obtain the certification as a condition of employment. Why Work With Us?
