Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dietary Aide/Cook to join our team. This vital role combines food preparation, service, and sanitation responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess culinary experience, strong time management skills, and a commitment to providing nutritious, appealing meals that meet residents' dietary needs. As a Dietary Aide/Cook, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience for all clients. Duties Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are consistently met. Support the dietary department by cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to uphold sanitation regulations. Serve meals to clients with professionalism and excellent customer service skills, ensuring their satisfaction. Follow all safety protocols related to food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations to prevent contamination or accidents. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery in a fast-paced setting. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable. Demonstrated culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal service. Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and safety regulations relevant to healthcare or hospitality settings. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy meal periods. Familiarity with dietary requirements and accommodations for special diets within a healthcare or senior living environment. Excellent customer service skills with a respectful approach toward residents and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting while maintaining attention to detail.
