Job Description

Dietary Assistant Join the dedicated Dietary Team at Oak Knoll Rehab & Healthcare Center, where your work supports the health and well-being of our residents. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Dietary Assistant to help prepare and serve meals in a safe, sanitary, and compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Food Service Manager and Dietitian to follow menus and production schedules Prepare, portion, and serve meals according to therapeutic diets and resident preferences Set up trays/place settings based on individual dietary needs Prepare snacks, beverages, and nourishments Assist in stocking, storing food, and organizing supplies Clean kitchen areas, dishes, utensils, and equipment per sanitation guidelines Follow all food safety and infection control protocols Maintain a neat and orderly work environment Support vending par level preparation (snacks, entrees, etc.) Assist during mealtimes and help ensure timely delivery of food Attend departmental meetings and perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Prior food service experience preferred (especially in healthcare) Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions in English Familiarity with dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets is a plus Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout your shift Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic Why Oak Knoll?
