Role:
The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of residents within healthcare and skilled nursing facilities. This position ensures that meals are prepared, served, and delivered in a timely and sanitary manner, adhering strictly to dietary guidelines and infection control protocols. The Dietary Aide collaborates closely with dietary staff and healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary requirements and preferences, contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of residents. Attention to detail and the ability to follow both written and oral instructions are essential to maintain compliance with health regulations and facility standards. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions accurately. Basic knowledge of infection control and food safety practices. Demonstrated patience and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience in food service or healthcare settings is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in assisted living or long-term care facilities. Certification in food handling or dietary aide training. Familiarity with special dietary needs such as diabetic, low sodium, or allergen-free diets. Strong interpersonal skills to relate positively with residents and team members.
