$18.20/hour starting wage •Including $0.85/hour MI wage Purpose of the
Dietary Aide :
The purpose of this position is to complete duties assigned to provide accurate, timely food service to meet residents' needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements. Maintain dietary equipment in a safe, sanitary manner.= Job duties of the Dietary Aide include: Follow menus and prepare food and beverages Organize duties to complete meal/tray service in a timely manner Assure kitchen equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitized according to dietary procedures Store food in compliance with dietary procedures Set up trays and food service carts accurately and timely. Serve and bus trays. Pour and cover beverages. Assist in preparing, covering and labeling food. Assist in the proper care, use and cleaning of kitchen equipment & work area. Attend in-service training programs for Food Service employees. Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality. Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner as directed by supervisor and perform them in an effective, timely & professional manner. Assume accountability for all data contained in the employees' handbook Scrape soiled dishes and load dishwasher properly. Maintain steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean kitchen utensils and dishes. Operate an automated dishwasher with solution-dispensing system. Sort clean dishes, transport to storage area and store according to dietary procedures. Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
