Our 103-bed, not-for-profit organization is proud to be recognized among U.S. News & World Report's Best Nursing Homes and the top 2% of short-term rehabilitation providers in the nation. Marywood is seeking qualified candidates for Part-Time Cook and Part-Time Dietary Aide positions. Day/Afternoon/Evening shifts, swing. Weekend rotation, holiday rotation per facility need. Qualifications of a Cook include, but are not limited to: 12th grade education or equivalent Minimum one (1) year dietary experience Hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related facility experience preferred ServSafe Management Certificate preferred Ability to aid in all food functions as directed or instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures. Good customer service skills essential Must be able to prepare and cook a variety of foods in large quantities Must be able to demonstrate proper knife skills, portioning control, and recipe adherence. Must have excellent customer service and problem solving ability Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions Must be knowledgeable of dietary procedures: proper food rotation, taking and recording proper food temperatures Must possess basic understanding of diet restrictions. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas Must follow "clean as you go" work performance and proper sanitation practices. Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Weekend/Holiday rotation required per Department need Qualifications of a Dietary Aide include, but are not limited to: Minimum 8th Grade Education One (1) year dietary experience preferred Hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related facility experience preferred Ability to provide assistance in all food functions as directed or instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.
