Job Description
CURA of Melrose is looking for a dependable and motivated Dietary Aide to support our kitchen team in preparing ingredients and assisting with meal production. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who enjoy food preparation and want to contribute to the delivery of high-quality meals in a healthcare environment. As a Dietary Aide, you will help ensure the kitchen operates smoothly by performing essential tasks such as organizing food items. Join CURA and be a key player in providing nutritious meals that support patient health and satisfaction. This position is Part-time and includes every other weekend and holiday rotation. 6:30am-3:00pm | 32 hours per pay period Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of ingredients following established recipes and standards. Wash, peel, chop, and portion fruits, vegetables, and other food items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas and kitchen equipment. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines strictly to ensure a safe kitchen environment. Stock and organize food supplies under the guidance of the Cook or Dietary Manager. Support kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and consistent quality. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen work preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team setting. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen tasks. Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential evenings or weekends.
