Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dietary Aide/Cook to join our team. This vital role involves preparing nutritious meals, assisting with food service operations, and maintaining a clean and safe dietary environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, food handling, and customer service within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. Duties Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines, ensuring proper portioning and presentation. Assist with food production, including cooking, baking, and assembling meals for residents. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations. Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning utensils, and managing food safety protocols. Ensure timely meal delivery to residents while adhering to scheduled meal times. Follow proper food handling procedures to promote safety and prevent contamination. Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage inventory levels and assist with food storage practices. Requirements Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments preferred. Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation standards. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Familiarity with dietary department operations and food safety regulations. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents and staff. Experience in food handling, cooking, cleaning, and bussing within a kitchen setting. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
