Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and safety standards, ensuring high-quality food production. Assist with food handling, sanitation, and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. Serve meals to residents or patients with professionalism and friendly customer service, ensuring their satisfaction. Follow proper food safety protocols, including proper storage, sanitation, and handling procedures to prevent contamination. Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maintaining cleanliness throughout food preparation areas. Manage time efficiently to ensure timely meal service while adhering to portion control and dietary restrictions. Collaborate with nursing staff or caregiving teams to accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions for residents or patients. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable. Demonstrated culinary experience with food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation skills. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards required for food handling and service environments. Experience in dietary aide roles or in a healthcare setting supporting nutritional needs is preferred. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
