Dietary AideCountry Aire Skilled Nursing Facility Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available More Than a Meal — You're Part of Someone's Day! At Country Aire Skilled Nursing Facility , our Dietary Aides play an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for our residents. From preparing the dining room to serving meals with a smile, you'll help make mealtime something our residents can look forward to. What You'll Do As a Dietary Aide, you'll help keep our dietary department running smoothly and ensure residents receive their meals safely, accurately, and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with meal preparation and basic food preparation as directed. Setting up dining areas and preparing tables for resident meals. Serving meals and beverages to residents according to assigned menus and dietary needs. Delivering meals and trays to resident rooms when needed. Assisting with collecting meal trays and cleaning dining areas after meals. Washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen items. Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment. Following proper food handling, sanitation, and infection control procedures. Checking meal trays for accuracy before they are served. Following special diet instructions, food allergies, and resident dietary preferences. Restocking supplies and assisting with inventory as needed. Helping keep kitchen equipment and work areas clean and organized. Working as a team with cooks, dietary staff, nursing staff, and facility leadership. Providing friendly and respectful service to residents at every meal. Performing other dietary duties as assigned. Is dependable, punctual, and ready to work. Can work well independently and as part of a team. Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Pays attention to detail and follows instructions carefully. Takes pride in keeping their work area clean and organized. Treats residents with kindness, dignity, patience, and respect. Is willing to learn and take on new responsibilities. Understands that the little things can make a big difference. Previous dietary, restaurant, kitchen, healthcare, or long-term care experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person!
