3923 Dietary Aide - Full Time Springfield, IL Pay = $15.75/hour SUMMARY The Dietary Aide assists the cook in the preparation of all client meals and helps in the preparation of staff meals and meals for special events as directed by the Head Cook. The Dietary Aide serves meals during mealtimes for clients and for staff as directed.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Follows sanitation guidelines at all times. Displays food in an attractive manner. Insures that 'individual client diets are followed, and appropriate substitutions are available. Ensures food and beverages are placed on proper carts and labeled correctly. Uses proper utensils and ensures proper portion sizes are served according to individual client diet plans. When serving meals have client diet cards and menus present. Maintains all assigned dietary records and logs. Shall practice appropriate safety measures (i.e. wearing lifting belt, hand washing) Performs assigned cleaning tasks. Attends required training and team meetings Assumes responsibility as a mandated reporter concerning incidents of purported abuse/neglect of students as outlined in the agency's policies and procedures. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Some knowledge of food preparation and of sanitation requirements. Must be 21 years of age Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, must be able to stoop, crouch and grasp Successful background clearance, physical and drug/alcohol screening
