DIETARY AIDE
Job Summary:
Follows planned menu and receives meal orders from residents. Prepares food and beverages for serving based on established procedures. Provides food service to residents; including portioning, plating, loading, delivering and serving resident meals. Assists in serving plates and tray cart, including loading, delivering, and serving. Washes, rinses, and sanitizes glasses, dishes, silverware, service ware, etc. according to established procedures. Cleans and sanitizes work areas and sinks after each meal or as needed. Clears, cleans, and sanitizes tables. Sweeps and mops floors as assigned. Cleans cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, walls, garbage cans, carts, pantries, and other equipment in department as needed. Follows posted cleaning schedules. Assists in preparation of meals, drinks, supplements, and snacks. Assists with duties of the Cook and Assistant Cook as needed and/or assigned. In case of fire or fire drill: Shuts off electrical equipment. Closes doors. Reports to Nurses Station for further instructions. Other job duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent Must purchase and wear required uniform. Must be able to use equipment without jeopardizing the safety of self, others or equipment. Must be able to use supplies economically. Must attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required. Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene. Must read, know and follow personnel, department, and Facility policies.
