Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dietary Cook to join our team. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our patients/residents. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the well-being of individuals in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals according to specific dietary requirements and recipes
  • Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with the dietary team to plan menus and ensure variety and nutritional balance
  • Assist with meal service, including portioning and plating
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Follow proper procedures for storing food items
  • Assist with training and supervising dietary aides
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in food handling and meal preparation, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Strong time management skills to ensure efficient meal preparation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients/residents, staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed Please note that all positions at our facility are paid positions.
