Job Description
Job Summary Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a warm, welcoming environment for residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or healthcare facilities. In this vital role, you will assist with meal service, food preparation, and sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious, delicious meals in a safe and hygienic setting. Your positive attitude and commitment to exceptional food service will contribute significantly to residents' well-being and comfort every day. Duties Assist with food production and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and safety standards Serve meals to residents with friendly, attentive customer service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas through proper sanitation, cleaning, and bussing procedures Handle food safely by following proper food handling and storage protocols Support the dietary department with food portioning, plating, and serving meals efficiently Ensure all food service activities comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards Help with general kitchen tasks such as cooking, meal assembly, and inventory management as needed Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred Experience in food preparation, food handling, or food service roles is highly valued Knowledge of dietary department operations and food safety practices is a plus Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents or patients Previous culinary or kitchen experience related to meal preparation and sanitation is beneficial Familiarity with food production processes and dietetic principles enhances your ability to succeed in this role
