Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated dietary team as a Part-Time Dietary Aide, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. In this vital role, you will assist with food preparation, service, and sanitation to ensure a safe, nutritious, and welcoming dining experience. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare food service environments. Your positive attitude and commitment to customer service will help create a warm and supportive atmosphere for our residents. Responsibilities Assist with food production and meal preparation according to dietary guidelines and safety standards Serve meals to residents with professionalism and friendliness, ensuring proper portioning and presentation Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas through regular cleaning, sanitizing, and bussing Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, temperature control, and food safety compliance Help with meal set-up, tray assembly, and delivery to ensure timely service Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, food labeling, sanitation, and kitchen operations Support the dietary department by performing cleaning duties and assisting with inventory management as needed Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry settings is preferred Knowledge of food production, preparation, serving, and sanitation standards Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience with food handling, safety procedures, and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen or dining areas Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and respectful demeanor towards residents and team members Ability to work part-time hours reliably while adhering to safety regulations and dietary guidelines Culinary or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Join us in creating a positive dining experience that promotes health, comfort, and well-being for our residents.
