Latta Road Nursing Home is seeking Dietary Aides to work Part-Time or Full-Time hours, including every other weekend, evenings and holidays.
This dietary team member:
prepares tasty, nutritious meals for our residents who have specific dietary restrictions and food consistency needs. Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staf Set up dining areas, including tables, chairs, and utensils Serve meals to residents or patients according to dietary restrictions and portion sizes Clear tables and clean dining areas after meals Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects Excellent communication skills Ability to interact with residents or patients in a friendly and professional manner Ability to read and write
