Job Description

Woodbury Heights Nursing and Rehab dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service within our Long-Term Living facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the Dietary department. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and customer service, and who thrive in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and presentation of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Sanitate work areas, utensils, and equipment to maintain a clean and safe food service environment. Buss tables and assist with serving meals to residents, ensuring that each individual receives their correct meal. Support cooks in food production tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables, assembling plates, and portioning food. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor. Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents during mealtimes. Follow all safety and health regulations related to food handling and sanitation practices. Skills Strong understanding of sanitation practices within a food service environment. Experience in cooking or food preparation is preferred but not required. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere within the Dietary department. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction. Capability to perform tasks such as bussing tables, cleaning, and assisting with meal service efficiently. Previous experience in assisted living or healthcare settings is a plus but not mandatory. Must be able to work variable shifts and weekends
