Job Description

Job Summary The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, serving food, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dinning area. Duties Assist in meal preparation by following established recipes and portion control guidelines. Serve meals to residents in a timely manner, ensuring all dietary restrictions are met. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas. Perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic environment in accordance with food safety regulations. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the supervisor. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during meal service. Adhere to all food handling and safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality service. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required. Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and staff members. This position is ideal for individuals looking to contribute positively to the well-being of residents during meal service while gaining valuable experience in the culinary field.
