Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling and preparation within healthcare or assisted living settings. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals while maintaining high standards of safety, sanitation, and customer service. This position offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the well-being of our residents through dedicated service and culinary support. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals that adhere to dietary requirements and individual preferences. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards such as JCAHO regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers. Support food production activities, including portioning, plating, and bussing tables during meal service. Follow proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff. Qualifications Previous experience working as a Dietary Aide or in food service within assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments. Knowledge of food preparation, handling, sanitation standards, and safety. Ability to work efficiently within a team while managing time effectively during busy meal periods. Experience working with geriatric patients or in dietetics is preferred but not required.
