Prepare various foods depending on menu created by dieticians for each meal of the day. Operate various kitchen equipment in preparation for the meal, e.g., mixer, meat slicer, food processor, oven, steamer. Required to clean work surfaces following shift: sweep floors, wipe down counter space, cover, and store unused foods. Must be able to create meals that are appropriate for the elderly and in large quantities. Employee is required to use institutional-sized cookware. Must be able to work at a constant pace to ensure that food is ready for each meal of the day. Accurately follows diet cards when serving residents. Takes and documents food temperatures. Follows portion control guidelines. May be required to fill in gaps in kitchen help. Required to ensure cleanliness of facility Promptly and expediently responds to residents call pendants Required to do all things necessary for the resident's health, safety, and welfareDietary Aide Qualifications:
Previous experience working in food service preferred - will train the right person Must have a willingness to interact with senior residents daily. Must be available weekends.Location:
