Job Description

Mount Aloysius, an Intermediate Care Facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities, is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Dietary Supervisor. Hours will vary between first and second shift. Must be available to work weekends.
Duties include:
Participate in inservices/training to maintain a working knowledge of applicable ICF/IID regulatory requirements, facility policies and procedures, and assist in ensuring departmental compliance. Assist with maintaining food inventory and supply inventory, organizing stock, rotation of stock, and replenishing inventory as directed. Assist in supervising proper storage and labeling of foods in refrigerators and freezers. Monitor condition of dishes and equipment and report maintenance, repair, or replacement needs to the Dietary Supervisor. Assists with monitoring expenditures and communicates supply or purchasing needs to the Dietary Supervisor. Assist in supervising meal preparation and ensuring food quality. Monitor packed lunches for individuals who have outside employment. Assist in planning and preparation for special meals, picnics, and other off-ground activities. Assist in preparing production sheets and determining the amount of stock needed for each meal. Monitor serving time and diet orders and report discrepancies to the Dietary Supervisor to ensure changes are reflected in all manuals and forms used by Dietary Services. Implement the approved facility menu, make nutritionally equivalent substitutions as directed, and record changes. Assist in supervising daily cleaning and maintaining required documentation of cleaning for review by licensing agencies and designated facility staff. Provide day-to-day guidance and support to dietary staff in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. Assist the Dietary Supervisor with training and mentoring of dietary staff. Perform duties of Dietary Aide/Cook, as necessary to support operations. Prepare reports as requested and attend meetings as designated by policy, the Dietary Supervisor, the Administrator/DOO, and/or CEO. Maintain a flexible schedule based on the needs of the facility and Dietary department. Meet all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Dietary Supervisor, Administrator/DOO, and/or CEO.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent One year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or in a leadership capacity preferred One year food service industry experience ServSafe Certification preferred (must be able to obtain and maintain certification) Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete work in a timely manner Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to analyze information and produce clear, concise reports Ability to provide direction to staff and work collaboratively in a professional, positive manner
