Job Description

Westmoreland Manor is seeking a full-time Diet Clerk in our dietary services department for the "PM Variable Float Every Third Weekend Off" shift. We are looking for energetic, quick-learners who are able to work in a fast-paced environment! The pay rate for this position is $19.60/hour. The purpose of this position is to monitor the nutrition statuses of assigned residents. Diet clerks also meet with residents to review diets and meal choices, check tray lines for consistency, maintain computer records of meals and snacks, and prepare the daily meal census. Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with 1-2 years of food service experience. Prior experience in long term care is preferred.
Further requirements for the position:
Ability to perform mathematical calculations for purposes of converting and measuring recipes and ordering supplies. Ability to operate commercial dietary equipment. Ability to manipulate heavy carts. Selected candidates will be required to complete and receive a passing score on a pre-employment Diet Clerk Assessment (written test).
