Dietary Assistant Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children (WPSBC) United States, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh 201 North Bellefield Avenue (Show on map) May 14, 2026 Description Job description: Western PA School for Blind Children, located in Oakland, provides a one-of-a-kind educational experience that empowers students to realize their full potential. Founded in 1887, we have about 200 students in our school all ages between 3-22. Within that range we have three groups based off age range (primary, middle, and secondary). We are searching for a new Dietary Assistant to add to our
Dietary Team Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 10:00am to 6:00pmResponsibilities:
To scrape and wash dishes and trays. To service students and staff with dietary needs. To prepare students' snacks. To service customers in the Staff Dining Room. To operate a cash register, count money and make change. To perform general cleaning and restockingQualifications Qualifications:
- High School Diploma - Serv Safe Certification (preferred not required) Physical Demands /Work Requirements:
The following physical demands are typical for a role in this setting: Must be comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds from the floor. Ability to lift and carry objects such as equipment, books, stacks of reports, etc, generally items weighing 20 pounds or less. Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, crouching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, sitting, and walking including up and down stairs. Communicate respectfully with multiple team members.
